Double Deep

Double deep pallet racking frees up floor space by decreasing the number of aisles in the pallet racking system.

A Double Deep racking layout allows for back-to-back pallet storage (2 pallets deep), which is ideal for increased storage density requirements. Lift trucks with extended reach capabilities are required to access the back row of pallets. This system increases the use of storage space by more than 50% and is a great alternative to push back or drive-in/through racking.

Deep reach attachment for Lift Trucks is generally a less expensive alternative solution to purchasing a swing reach truck or using a VNA Single Selective Layout. Along with this, Double Deep rack layouts can be easily converted from Single Selective Pallet Racks.

Advantages

By storing pallets at two depths rather than one, you can increase your storage density by up to 30-40%. This allows for larger quantities of goods to be stored in a smaller area, resulting in greater efficiency and cost savings.

Double deep pallet storage systems allow for a higher aisle/shelving ratio, meaning that more products can be stored in less space. This makes it easier to maximize the use of your available floor space.

By eliminating the need for aisles, double deep pallet storage systems reduce the risk of accidents and injuries caused by forklifts and other machinery.
