Carton flow racks are a storage technique that conveys and accumulates cartons in a storage module using gravity and wheels or rollers. In comparison to other types of racking solutions, this type is focused on the movement of smaller boxes, packages, and/or items.
This solution provides the end user with multiple lanes in every row of the rack, which provides more pick faces. With the ability to pick from more individual pick faces, operators significantly increase the picking efficiency while maintaining FIFO. We provide multiple options in the carton flow rack from wheels to rollers and other automated roller solutions.
As cartons are loaded into the lane on one side of the racking, (the input end) the gravity-flow roller system allows for retrieval of the cartons on the opposite end of the lane (the output end). Carton flow racks work great in areas where there are separate loading and unloading operations.
